Road Kill
Road Kill

Road Kill is a pure Frogger clone. For those who don’t know Frogger, the main task is to lead your “hero” to his home (in Frogger it was a frog, here it is a hedgehog) trough obstacles (e.g. a river which you can only cross with the help of trunks or streets with cars, trucks and trams). Although this sounds easy it sometimes takes a lot of perception and quick reactions to avoid obstacles.

The graphic of the game is quite good and though it looks a bit “miniaturized” you can still clearly see everything. Road Kill also features some nice hand painted pictures. You will not hear many sounds in this game, only if you finish a level, the phone will play a simple melody.

Control of this game is very easy and it is no problem to lead your hedgehog. Just press 4 for left, 6 for right, 8 for down and 2 for up. You can also use the directional keys of your phone to control the game easily with one hand.

In the game (Version 1.0.0.) I tested on my Nokia 6610 I unfortunately found some: If I selected “New Game” and then the difficulty level I had to press “back”; else I found myself at the menu again. As I lost all my lives the game just froze. For the time I was playing this game I was also not able to save the highscore.

Road Kill is a good looking and good playable clone of Frogger and also one of the best I have seen so far; unfortunately bugged but hopefully fixed in a later version. For frogger fans and those who want quick action for in between Road Kill can be recommended.
