Mobile game developers Black Bull Studios announces the release of its first Symbian game called DESTINY. News of the game has been circulating since the company revealed its presence in the mobile gaming market last February, 2006.

Targeted at all smart phone users, DESTINY is a classic space ‘shoot em up' with a long list of impressive features. Console quality graphics is just a start. The game is brought alive through the adoption of the company's proprietary software development called the Talaris Engine TM . Talaris is the powerhouse behind DESTINY's high performance and it packs a host of new functionality never seen before in a single mobile phone game. Real-time screen rotation, adjustable camera, masses of alpha blending effects, ‘time reversal' and many true 3D visual effects make DESTINY a real challenge and adrenalin rush for serious and novice gamers alike. Points mean power-ups, and there's lots of them too – different ones all the way through its energy packed mission.

DESTINY, the story so far:

During deep space exploration, Commander Jack Lander's space cruiser Talaria, is pulled through a worm hole into an unknown galaxy and a different time. Battle through asteroid storms, fleets of enemy Zilleron space craft and highly protected worlds to get back to the worm hole, and hopefully transportation home!

Be Jack Lander as commander of Talaria, the space cruiser with a mission. Battle with squads of enemy Zillerons. Avoid enemy fire, electric storms and space rubble. Fly round random falling asteroids, strange volcanic cliffs and stellar canyons. Jet into the voids of open space and engage with a host of different power ups to increase your chances of survival.

Destroy all the enemies to ensure they don't follow Jack through the worm hole at the end of the game to secure the future survival of Jack and maybe even the human race?

David Hothersall, creative and technology director of Black Bull Studios explains “Our product strategy has resulted in the production of a mobile game with exceptionally smooth play and crisp graphics. We've pushed software boundaries forward to bring new levels of realism to immersive gaming on mobile phones”

The aim is to fly a craft in DESTINY's 3D cosmos without colliding with space debris but picking up points and tackling enemy vessels with an array of advanced weapons. Game-play gets really hectic as you progress through each of the increasingly challenging 15 levels. Additionally, between 1 and 4 gamers can take control and compete against each other using a ‘turn based' system.

Hothersall continues, “We've included ‘on-the-fly' random game-play generation in Destiny. It's designed to make each game feel like a unique experience. There's also a natty feature called real-time screen rotation which as far as we know, is a mobile phone first. This allows a gamer to set up their phone screen and buttons to suit the best orientation for play without loss of performance. Landscape, portrait, left hand or right hand, all options are configurable in Destiny.”

The first release of DESTINY is compatible with all smart-phones using Nokia's S60 system but wider compatibility will be made available soon to suit the new generation of Symbian 3 rd edition phones including UIQ3. DESTINY is available now as a download from web based sales channels such as HANDANGO.com. Gamers can also download a demo version from Black Bull's website before purchase, or buy it directly from the Internet.
